AOC AGON 2026 gaming monitors tipped: 5K 165 Hz and 1,000 Hz FHD

AOC is gearing up to roll out a new generation of AGON gaming monitors, and a leak points to six models landing in 2026. The lineup is said to include 5K panels at 165 Hz and, if the claims hold, what would be the first monitor capable of running at 1,000 Hz at Full HD.

According to ITHome, the announcement is expected at CES 2025. The family will reportedly comprise five 27-inch models and one 24.1-inch monitor based on a TN panel. The flagship features a 5K display at 165 Hz that can switch to QHD at 330 Hz. There is also a 27-inch QHD monitor supporting 500 Hz at 1440p and 1,000 Hz at 1080p in a dual-mode configuration, a threshold no manufacturer has reached so far.

All the new models are set to receive a refreshed design, a reworked on-screen menu, and customizable physical buttons. A gaming feature powered by AI will automatically adapt visual parameters based on the genre or type of game.

One model carries the PULSAR label, likely a continuation of the AG276QSG introduced back in 2024 but never released. It uses G-Sync Pulsar technology, which delivers visual smoothness equivalent to 1,000 Hz.

Taken together, the AOC AGON 2026 series looks poised to sit among the most advanced offerings on the market, blending extreme refresh rates with smart tools for competitive play.
