Vivo is gearing up to launch its new X300 flagship line, and early details of the X300 Pro have already surfaced. Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station reports that the phone’s main camera setup is finalized. As expected, the primary module is Sony’s LYT-828, but the real curveball is a 200-megapixel telephoto sensor from Samsung. The leak points to an ISOCELL HPB with a 1/1.4-inch optical format and an 85 mm equivalent focal length. That translates to roughly 3.7x optical zoom, putting the device squarely up against the front-runners in mobile photography.
Vivo is also holding on to a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera and keeping its signature extras: Zeiss T-coated optics and CIPA 5.5 stabilization. The company says the VS1 and V3+ chips will bolster the camera’s work, which should give the phone a clear edge in night shooting and image processing.
The series is expected to be officially announced in October for the Chinese market, with a global release slated for December. Rumor has it that an X300 Ultra could follow early next year, echoing Samsung’s strategy with the Galaxy S25 line. A 200 MP telephoto is a bold bet—and for buyers who put the camera first, it might well be the deciding factor.
